Wegovy weight-loss pill now on sale at UK pharmacies, not yet on NHS

Novo Nordisk's once-daily Wegovy weight-loss pill went on sale at UK high street and online pharmacies on Monday, with thousands of people receiving their first deliveries. The pill contains semaglutide, the same GLP-1 active ingredient as the Wegovy injection, and studies show it is similarly effective. It is not yet available on the NHS, meaning patients must pay privately.
