Rogers pays $3.1 billion for full ownership of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment

Rogers Communications has agreed to buy the remaining 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) from billionaire Larry Tanenbaum's Kilmer Group for C$4.35 billion ($3.1 billion USD). MLSE is Canada's largest sports empire, encompassing NHL and NBA franchises. The deal gives Rogers full ownership of the organisation.
