ITV Studios to stand alone after Sky buys ITV Network for £1.6bn

Sky, owned by Comcast, has struck a £1.6 billion deal to acquire the ITV broadcast network and its streaming business. Following the split, ITV Studios – producer of shows including Love Island and Line of Duty – will become an independent studio. ITV bosses insist the studio can stand on its own without a major acquisition.
