Up to 70mm of rain in days — north-east Poland faces worst flooding risk

Poland is bracing for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms as atmospheric fronts move in, pushing summer temperatures aside. The north-east of the country faces the heaviest impact, with forecasts of up to 70mm of rain in just a few days — equivalent to an entire average July. Strong gusts and low temperatures will accompany the wet spell across most of the country.
