Zabrze children's cancer centre opens — six doctors resign on day one
The Silesian Centre for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology in Zabrze opened on 1 July, but a team of six doctors resigned on the very same day. The physicians cited concerns over the scope of treatment, duty rosters and procedural preparedness. The staffing crisis threatens the operation of a facility designed to treat the youngest cancer patients.
