Janowiec Castle: a 98-room Renaissance pearl now a museum in ruins
Janowiec Castle on the Vistula in Lublin voivodeship was once one of Poland's most magnificent residences, boasting 98 rooms, seven grand halls, and marble floors adorned with paintings. For centuries it was home to Poland's most prominent noble families. Today the ruin, considered one of the best-preserved in the country, houses a museum open to visitors.
