Sweden: 127 murder suspects under 15 in first nine months of 2025

Swedish prosecutors report that in the first nine months of 2025, 127 suspects in murder or accessory-to-murder cases were under the age of 15 — up from just 14 in the same period of 2022. Gangs are increasingly recruiting younger and younger children, exploiting their legal status as minors. Swedish authorities acknowledge that gang violence has spiralled out of control.
