Crescent Moon Passes the Pleiades on 11 July — Visible at 3am BST

In the early hours of 11 July at around 3am BST, the waning crescent moon will glide past the Pleiades star cluster (M45), also known as the Seven Sisters. The pairing will be visible looking east-north-east; a clear, low horizon is essential as dawn twilight will already be approaching. Binoculars will reveal individual stars of the cluster, which to the naked eye resembles a miniature version of the Plough.
