China test-fires submarine-launched missile in the Pacific for the first time since 2024

China carried out a submarine-launched ballistic missile test in the Pacific Ocean, its first such test since 2024. The launch coincided with Australia signing fresh defence agreements with Pacific Island nations. Several countries in the region voiced concern over the test.
