Trump called Infantino and FIFA lifted Balogun's one-match ban – first such reversal since 1962

US President Donald Trump personally called FIFA Secretary General Gianni Infantino to request a review of Folarin Balogun's one-match ban. FIFA subsequently announced the suspension had been lifted – a decision without precedent since 1962. Balogun will now be available for the USA's next World Cup match.
