LineageOS Users Won't Be Affected by Google's New Android Sideloading Rules

Google is set to roll out Android Developer Verification later this year, imposing new app verification rules and an advanced sideloading flow on certified stock Android devices. The LineageOS team has confirmed the changes will not affect its custom ROM users, and the project refuses to adopt Google's verification service. LineageOS has also signed the "Keep Android Open" petition in protest.
