Ukrainians in Poland fear speaking their language in public amid rising hostility
A report titled "We Are Not at Home" documents growing anti-Ukrainian sentiment in Poland. One interviewee stopped answering her phone on public transport for fear that someone would hear her speaking Ukrainian or Russian and react hostilely. Co-author Dr Olena Babakova says the findings reveal widespread insecurity and a sense of exclusion among Ukrainians living in Poland.
