Buterin: Ethereum's next rebuild will take 3–4 years and rival the Merge

Vitalik Buterin announced that Ethereum's next major rebuild will be comparable in scale to the landmark Merge upgrade and will take three to four years to complete. Quantum safety has "shifted up a LOT in priority" in the network's development roadmap. The upcoming Hegota hard fork, planned for later this year, is expected to be Ethereum's last "pre-Lean" hard fork.
