Tourists ignore red flags at the Baltic Sea despite ban — rescue service warns of danger
Red flags banning swimming are flying at around 140 beaches along Poland's Baltic coast due to high waves and strong rip currents. Despite the prohibition, many tourists continue to enter the water or walk near the shoreline, ignoring warnings. Sebastian Kluska, director of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service (MOSAR), has publicly urged beachgoers to stop, warning that such behaviour puts lives — including children's — at serious risk.
