Burnham open to some tax movement but rules out VAT, income tax and NI rises

Andy Burnham, tipped as a likely next UK Prime Minister, signalled there is some room for movement on tax policy. However, he confirmed he would honour Labour's pledges not to raise VAT, income tax or national insurance contributions. He did not specify which areas of tax he believes could be adjusted.
