Isaac del Toro wins Tour de France Stage 2 in Barcelona despite mechanical setback

Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro won the second stage of the 2026 Tour de France, a time trial held in Barcelona, after overcoming a mechanical issue that forced a lengthy bike change mid-race. He mounted a late charge to take the stage victory, becoming only the second Mexican rider in history to win a Tour de France stage, after Raul Alcala. His win came despite significant adversity during the race.
