Historian Mike Wallace, Pulitzer-winning co-author of "Gotham," dies at 83
Mike Wallace, historian and co-author of the landmark 1998 New York history "Gotham," has died at 83. The book, which chronicled the city's story up to 1898 with a focus on social and economic conflict, won a Pulitzer Prize and inspired two sequels. Wallace was known for his radical approach to social history.
