Poles Return 1.5 Billion Bottles – Deposit Machines to Expand to Housing Estates
Since Poland's deposit-return scheme launched, over 1.5 billion containers have been returned. Operators must reach a 77% collection rate this year and ultimately 90%. To achieve this, deposit machines are being rolled out beyond shops: the first pilot has launched in Warsaw's Młociny district, placing machines directly on housing estate grounds.
