Poland's tax chief defends inspectors fined pierogi shop for selling water without receipt

Marcin Łoboda, head of Poland's National Revenue Administration (KAS), defended his inspectors after a public backlash over a fine issued to a Szczecin pierogi restaurant for selling water without a receipt. He insisted the checks are routine enforcement, not "provocations," and condemned what he called harassment and attempts to discredit tax officials. Łoboda stated that such attacks on inspectors are unacceptable.
