US May Split NATO Into Two Tiers — Poland Among Top Allies

Anna Wieslander of the Atlantic Council warned in Norwegian daily VG that the US may divide NATO into first- and second-tier allies based on how quickly they raise defence spending. Poland, rapidly increasing its defence budget, would reportedly be in the top group. Wieslander cautioned that such a division risks undermining Alliance cohesion.
