Magyar files 12-point constitutional amendment to oust Orbán-allied president Sulyok

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar filed a 12-point constitutional amendment on Saturday aimed at removing President Tamás Sulyok, an ally of former PM Viktor Orbán. Key proposals include a three-term limit for MPs, a more independent Constitutional Court, a 70-year age cap for judges — which would end the term of current court president Péter Polt — and a new office to recover funds misappropriated under Orbán's rule. The changes are expected to pass, as Magyar's Tisza Party controls the legislature.
