Zelensky and Putin both called Trump on US Independence Day to discuss Ukraine

Both Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin held phone calls with Donald Trump on July 4th, US Independence Day. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed Putin's call with Trump lasted one hour and 25 minutes and focused on a Ukrainian settlement. The fact that both leaders called Trump on the same day points to intensified US diplomatic engagement in the conflict.
