Slovakia referendum invalid — only 16% of voters turned out

A referendum held in Slovakia on Saturday, aimed at curbing reforms and privileges of Prime Minister Robert Fico, was declared invalid after record-low turnout of just 16.13%. Those who did vote overwhelmingly opposed Fico's measures, but the result is non-binding and the government retains its decisions intact.
