Prof. Gawin: Ukraine lacks a strong political elite and will not become part of the West

Prof. Magdalena Gawin, former deputy minister of culture and founder of the Pilecki Institute, said on the programme "Bez doktryny" that Ukraine has historically fought against all sides, which undermines its position. She argued Ukraine lacks a sufficiently strong political elite to resolve the complex legacy of the UPA. Gawin concluded that Ukraine will not become part of the Western world.
