Coney Island shooting on Independence Day night wounds 8, including 4 children

A shooting occurred in the Coney Island neighbourhood of New York City on the night of 4 July, American Independence Day. At least eight people were wounded, including four children. One of the victims is in critical condition, local police reported on Sunday.
