Minister Sobierańska-Grenda received nearly 200,000 zł in compensation for taking office

Polish Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda has received nearly 200,000 zł in compensation for taking up her ministerial post, under provisions covering so-called golden parachutes for departing managers. At the same time, she is reportedly consulting experts to draft healthcare reform proposals that will satisfy Prime Minister Tusk and secure her position. The situation has drawn criticism as she collects a payout for taking a job she is simultaneously trying to keep.
