US children born 2025–2028 to receive $1,000 investment account from government

The United States has launched the "Trump Accounts" programme, under which every child born between 2025 and 2028 will receive $1,000 from the federal government placed in an investment account. The funds can be accessed at age 18 and used for education, buying a home or starting a business. President Trump has called the initiative "a beautiful thing."
