Kelsey Pfendler becomes first US woman to row solo from California to Hawaii

Kelsey Pfendler, a Grand Canyon river-rafting guide, completed a solo rowing journey of over 2,400 miles from California to Hawaii, becoming the first US woman, youngest woman, and fastest woman to accomplish the feat. She arrived at a Honolulu harbour on Friday evening aboard her 21ft rowboat named Lily after nearly six weeks at sea. Hundreds of people gathered to cheer her arrival.
