Kazimierska breaks 9-year Polish mile record in Eugene Diamond League

Klaudia Kazimierska, a 24-year-old runner from Włocławek, broke Angelika Cichocka's nine-year-old Polish mile record at the Diamond League meet in Eugene, finishing fourth. Earlier this season she set indoor Polish records in the mile and 1500m in Boston and New York. At the World Indoor Championships in Toruń she narrowly missed a medal. She now targets the European title, with Britain's Georgia Hunter Bell her chief rival.
