Archaeologists uncover well-preserved Byzantine city in Egypt's western desert

Archaeologists have uncovered a well-preserved fourth-century Byzantine city in Egypt's western desert, in the Dakhla oasis. The site includes residential and religious structures, among them a basilica-style church. Coins, pottery fragments and tools were also found, offering new insights into daily life, urban development and economic activity of the period.
