At least 8 ships turn back in Strait of Hormuz fearing Iranian attack
At least eight vessels attempting to exit the Persian Gulf via the Omani channel of the Strait of Hormuz turned back on Friday and Saturday, according to Bloomberg. Some ships rerouted to the northern, Iranian side of the strait. Tensions in the region are rising amid fears of a potential Iranian attack on shipping.
