77% of Poles have encountered fake news – disinformation still seen as a threat

The "Disinformation Through Polish Eyes 2026" report by the Digital Poland Foundation shows that 77% of Poles say they have encountered fake news at least once — down from 82% in 2021 and 84% in 2024. Despite the decline, nearly half of respondents view disinformation as a serious threat comparable to military dangers such as tanks. The report was published on Tuesday.
