Pope Leo XIV to USA on 250th anniversary: defending life includes welcoming immigrants

Pope Leo XIV sent a special letter to US citizens marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. He wrote that defending human life also includes welcoming and supporting immigrants. The Pope stressed that dignity and respect are owed to every person from conception to natural death.
