Award-winning animated film "In Waves" from Cannes heads to Netflix

French-Vietnamese filmmaker Phuong Mai Nguyen has adapted A.J. Dungo's 2019 award-winning graphic novel "In Waves" into a full-length animated feature. The film had its world premiere at Cannes's Critics' Week, where Netflix quickly acquired it. It has since screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival to further acclaim.
