Egypt Uncovers Lost Byzantine City from the 4th Century in Western Desert

Egypt announced on Saturday the discovery of a lost fourth-century Byzantine-era residential city in the western desert. It was one of two major archaeological finds revealed by Egyptian authorities on the same day. The discovery sheds new light on settlement patterns in the region during late antiquity.
