Archaeologists uncover lost Byzantine-era city in Egypt's western desert

Archaeologists in Egypt have unearthed a lost city dating to the fourth century AD in the western desert. The site includes residential and religious structures, among them a basilica church. The discovery sheds new light on the Byzantine presence in North Africa.
