Germany counts 58,700 extremists in 2025 as spy agency warns of online youth radicalisation
Germany's domestic intelligence agency BfV reported 58,700 extremists active in the country in 2025, an increase of 8,450 compared to the previous year. The rise is driven primarily by right-wing extremism. The agency also raised the alarm over a growing number of minors being radicalised online and highlighted increased foreign espionage activity on German soil.
