Unregulated peptide craze sweeps US — little clinical evidence of safety or effect

A growing number of Americans are self-injecting peptides such as BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and ipamorelin, seeking faster recovery, youthful skin or bigger muscles. The trend is fuelled by influencers, the "Make America Healthy Again" movement and Silicon Valley biohackers, despite most peptides having little or no clinical evidence supporting their claimed benefits. The substances remain largely unregulated in the US, raising serious safety concerns for those using them.
