Danny McBride to write new G.I. Joe film — and it won't be a comedy

Danny McBride, best known for the TV series The Righteous Gemstones, is writing Paramount's new G.I. Joe film. It will be the franchise's first movie in several years. Despite McBride's comedy background, the project is confirmed not to be a comedy.
