AfD re-elects Chrupalla as leader amid 20,000-strong protests in Erfurt
The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) held its party congress in Erfurt, where Tino Chrupalla was re-elected as leader. More than 20,000 opponents gathered in the streets, firing flares and shouting slogans in an attempt to disrupt the event. AfD supporters responded with chants of "They won't break us."
