Swimming and fishing banned on Bóbr river after tonnes of dead fish found

Lower Silesia governor Anna Żabska on Saturday signed an order banning all use of the Bóbr river between the Pilchowice dam and the Rakowiec reservoir. The ban covers swimming and fishing. In recent days, several tonnes of dead fish were recovered from the Pilchowice reservoir and the Bóbr river, pointing to serious water contamination.
