River Bóbr banned for any use in Lower Silesia after contamination alert

The Lower Silesia regional governor has issued a ban on any use of the Bóbr river following suspected water contamination. The Government Security Centre sent out an alert prohibiting the use of river water for recreation, economic purposes and watering animals. In recent days, several tonnes of dead fish were recovered from the Pilchowice reservoir and the Bóbr river.
