Kraków presidential candidate proposes tourist fee of at least PLN 10 per night

Monika Piątkowska, the Civic Coalition and PSL candidate for Kraków mayor, is proposing a tourist levy of at least PLN 10 per person per night to shore up the city's budget. She argues that residents should not be the default source of revenue for plugging budget gaps. Piątkowska also addressed whether backing from PM Donald Tusk and Deputy PM Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is an asset or a liability for her campaign.
