Tempest technology demonstrator to fly in 2026 as sixth-gen fighter takes shape

The technology demonstrator for the sixth-generation Tempest fighter jet is set to fly next year. The aircraft is being developed under the GCAP programme by Japan, the United Kingdom and Italy. The multi-role combat aircraft is intended to replace current fighters in the air forces of the three partner nations.
