Galaxy cluster XLSSC 122 too mature for young universe — Webb reveals puzzle

The James Webb Space Telescope has allowed astronomers to study the massive, compact galaxy cluster XLSSC 122 as it appeared 10.4 billion years ago. The cluster is surprisingly evolved for such an early stage of the universe's history. Its advanced state is difficult to reconcile with current cosmological models.
