£4.5 Billion Secured to Continue Development of GCAP Fighter Programme

Participants in the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) have overcome the main financial obstacle threatening the project's near-term future, securing £4.5 billion for the continued development of the next-generation fighter jet. The programme is a joint effort between the United Kingdom, Japan and Italy.
