Sony to Keep Making PS Discs After 2028 — But Only for Existing Game Re-Orders

Sony has told publishers that re-orders for existing PlayStation disc games will still be possible after the January 2028 physical disc cut-off date. However, this does not represent a reversal of the company's decision to end disc manufacturing — new game titles will not receive physical releases beyond that point.
