Homo floresiensis hunted big game and used fire alongside Komodo dragons

Smithsonian researchers analysed over 10,061 artefacts to understand how the tiny Homo floresiensis survived on the Indonesian island of Flores alongside Komodo dragons. The study found evidence that the "hobbit-like" human ancestor used fire and hunted large prey. The findings shed new light on the adaptive capabilities of this ancient species.
