Over 1.5 tonnes of cocaine hidden in bananas seized at St Petersburg port

Russian authorities seized over 1.5 tonnes of cocaine hidden in banana shipments arriving at the port of St Petersburg from South America. The smuggling operation is run by an informal criminal network linked to circles close to Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg. It is one of the largest drug seizures recorded at a Russian port.
