Heat 2: DiCaprio as Shiherlis, Bale as Hanna, Driver in talks for villain
After a year of negotiations, Heat 2 is moving into production under director Michael Mann. Leonardo DiCaprio will play Chris Shiherlis (originally Val Kilmer) and Christian Bale takes on LAPD detective Vincent Hanna (originally Al Pacino). Adam Driver is in advanced talks to play the main villain Wardell, while Stephen Graham is negotiating the role of thief Neil McCauley, originally played by Robert De Niro. Filming is expected to begin in November.
